What are viewsheds, and why use them? Read MoreThe landscapes of the southern Rockies of Alberta have a long and complex natural and cultural history. Prominent in that history is the role of forest fires. Fire has been, and remains today, a necessary and critical part of the long-term health and sustainability of these landscapes. The goal of this project is to advance our understanding of how, where, and when historical wildfires occur, and the implications of those dynamics.
